Job summary

Lane Electronics & Alarm Systems in Central Florida is seeking skilled installers to pull, route, terminate, and organize low-voltage wiring and install devices across multiple systems. You will read installation drawings, follow manuals, and support wiring tasks from start to finish, expanding your expertise in access control, CCTV, and fire alarm work.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of installation, electrical, low-voltage, or related hands-on experience.
  • Experience pulling, routing, and terminating low-voltage wire.
  • Basic understanding of low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Must be able and willing to use ladders, work at heights, and work in attics or confined spaces.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reading and following blueprints/installation drawings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, terminate, and organize low-voltage wiring.
  • Install and trim out wired devices and system components.
  • Install motion detectors, CCTV and surveillance cameras, security equipment, access control components, and fire alarm devices.
  • Assist with wiring and installation of access control systems.
  • Read and follow blueprints, installation drawings, manufacturer instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Apply basic electrical and low-voltage installation practices in the field.
  • Troubleshoot basic wiring, device, and installation issues.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Work alongside technicians to complete projects safely and correctly.
  • Take on additional low-voltage installation responsibilities as skills grow.

Your New Role
