Job summary

Indiana University in Bloomington is seeking a Facility Operations specialist to install, test, and repair low voltage wiring, cabling, and systems across campus. You will review drawings, maintain documentation, and assist in creating project estimates while supporting safety and high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Required are a high school diploma or GED with 5 years journey-level experience, or an Associate's degree with 2 years journey-level experience, plus a valid

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 5 years journey-level experience, or an associate degree with 2 years journey-level experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by IU upon date of hire.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair low voltage wiring and cabling.
• Review drawings, blueprints, and construction specs.
• Provide field work documentation and project estimates.
• Participate in training apprentices and staff as needed.
• Be available for emergency callouts and overtime.
