Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a skilled Low-Voltage Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for low-voltage portions of building systems projects across the southeastern United States. The role covers BAS, EMS, EPMS, lighting controls, teledata, and AV systems, coordinating with sales, preconstruction, and vendors.

The estimator will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, develop labor estimates, and coordinate pricing while ensuring pricing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating low-voltage systems or BAS/ICT projects.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage installation practices and components.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, sequences, and addenda to identify low-voltage scope.
• Prepare detailed estimates for BAS, EMS, EPMS, lighting controls, teledata, and AV systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for low-voltage devices, cabling, panels, and network infrastructure.
• Develop labor estimates for installation, rough-in, terminations, testing, and commissioning support.
• Coordinate vendor pricing and confirm scope division between trades.
• Participate in bid reviews and turnover meetings.
