Job summary

Athens Micro is hiring a Low Voltage Cabling Technician to support commercial projects across North Georgia. The role requires hands-on installation, labeling, pulling and terminating cables, and configuring data equipment in MDF/IDF environments.

You will work on voice/data jacks, install cable trays and patch panels, read blueprints, and ensure quality documentation. A minimum of 1 year in commercial cabling is expected; Low Voltage certification is a plus and transportation is required.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of work experience in commercial structured cabling.
  • Experience labeling, pulling and dressing category 3, 5e, 6 and fiber optic.
  • Low Voltage certification is a plus.
  • Experience installing j-hooks, ladder racks and cable trays.
  • Terminate workstation outlets; familiarity with Leviton, Ortronics, Panduit and Systimax.
  • Experience in MDF/IDF environments.
  • 25 pair termination of 110 and 66 blocks preferred.
  • Read blueprints and work independently; experience with 4-pair tester and Fluke.
  • Fiber termination and patch panel experience a plus.
  • Basic understanding of the BICSI Industry Standards.
  • Reliable transportation to drive to job sites.
  • Able to pass a background check for live office/commercial environments.

Requirements
