Job summary

Delta Intellicom(Telephone and Cabling) seeks a self-motivated Cable Technician to install, relocate and troubleshoot low voltage cabling at customer sites. You will follow installation policies and safety protocols while operating tools and maintaining stock for efficient service.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, and pass background checks and drug screenings. A valid driver’s license is required to travel to client locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and provide quality customer service.
• Experience with Ethernet Cat5/6/6A; Fiber Optic (Multi/Single mode).
• Must lift 50 lbs. and work at heights.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings.

We are looking for a self-motivated Cable Technician (low voltage cabling) who can work independently and with a team to carry out cable installations.

Responsibilities:

• Installation, relocation, troubleshooting of network & telephone cables/services on the customer premises
• Follows company installation policies and safety protocols
• Properly operate and maintain tools and equipment and organizes vehicle stock to perform required duties efficiently
• Prepares and maintains time logs, reports and other related documentation in accordance with company and departmental policies

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively and provide quality customer service
• Ability to use basic network installation tools and hand tools
• Experience with Ethernet Category 5;6 and 6A; Fiber Optic: Multi mode, Single mode; Coax; RG6; ; Camera; HDMI
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work at heights and in tight spaces/attics
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Flexible work schedule with the ability to work occasional weekends
• Must be 21 or older
