Job summary

SCD Information Technology is seeking a skilled Low-Voltage Cable Estimator to join our team. This individual will determine the projected time frame to complete a project and assess labor needs, materials, budgets and potential setbacks.

Duties include communicating with personnel, contractors and vendors, using computer software to weigh production risks and compile reports, and presenting recommendations to project leaders for upcoming projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the low voltage industry; working knowledge of voice, data, and video cabling.
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry including CAT 5, CAT 6, and fiber optics.
• Ability to lead a team and projects.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Industry-related certifications are desired (BICSI, OSHA 10, or OSHA 30).
