Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of low voltage systems and wiring techniques.
• Ability to use tools such as cable testers, multimeters, and punch-down tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and layouts.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in various environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial, etc.).
• Set up and maintain systems such as: Door controls (card readers, interlock systems and other programmed components) Powered swing, sliding, high speed roll up’s Security cameras (CCTV) Access control systems Fire alarm systems (where permitted/licensed) Structured cabling and data networks
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring and system issues
• Mount and install equipment (racks, panels, devices, cameras, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes
• Label and document installations accurately
• Test system functionality and perform quality checks
• Provide basic training or support to clients when needed
