Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a candidate to join the Multimedia Systems team focused on Camera, Video encoding/decoding, and Computer Vision.

You will work on system-level architecture and HW/SW co-design to deliver power- and performance-optimized solutions for Snapdragon devices. The role invites fresh grads or senior engineers with relevant education and/or experience, providing opportunities to influence power and performance across billions of Snapdragon devices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required.
• Experience or coursework related to low power design/analysis is important.
• Experience or coursework in system-level HW/SW co-design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Come up with the most efficient multimedia system architecture to satisfy power, performance, and cost requirements.
• Analyze power for selected use-cases using system models for selected architectures.
• Roll out architectural analysis and proposals to HW and SW design teams.
• Follow up through execution and commercialization of the SOC to ensure goals are met and modeling assumptions are validated.
• Follow up and support Mobile, Compute, IoT, and Automotive OEMs to optimize power on their commercial devices.
