Low Income Housing Tax Credit Admin & Leasing Agent
We are seeking a dedicated Leasing Agent to join our team in Levittown, NY. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in computer skills. Familiarity with Section 8 and Tax Credit Housing is essential. Excellent customer service and a clear, pleasant phone manner are required, along with the ability to work under pressure. The Admin plays a vital role in our daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform tenant screening checks
- Calculate income and assets for prospective applicants
- Gather documents for new move-ins
- Schedule viewings and lease signings with managers
- Update and enter applications into the wait-list system
- Maintain waiting lists for multiple properties
- Schedule Section 8 inspections
- Interact professionally with tenants to address needs and concerns
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC regulations
- Prepare rent collection notices
- Follow the wait-list procedures provided by the city agency
- Maintain excellent customer service and communication skills
- Work efficiently under pressure
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow through
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with LIHTC and leasing
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software
- Minimum of 2 years experience with LIHTC
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 - $53,000 annually
