Qualifications

• Master's in music or Bachelor's in music and Master's in humanities or the equivalent*; OR possession of a valid California Community College Teaching Credential appropriate to the discipline.
• All coursework must be from a recognized accredited college or university.
• The equivalency review process allows candidates whose transcripts do not list the exact degree title to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction to students through lecture, lab, or performance courses; assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher order thinking.
• Advise and instruct students regarding programs of study and lifelong learning resources; refer to support services as appropriate.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback on class, online, or office hours.
• Plan and organize instruction according to approved outlines and outcomes; align with department and district goals.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, progress, and outcomes; submit data and reports on time.
