W-L Construction, Inc. is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver / Equipment Hauler to support construction operations by transporting equipment between job sites, highways, private roadways, parking lots, driveways, and active work zones using multi‑axle and tractor vehicles.

This position is essential to ensuring equipment is mobilized safely and efficiently to meet daily production schedules. This role requires working outdoors in varying weather, long shifts (8–12 hours), overtime,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Valid CDL Class A license with required endorsements.
• Endorsements such as HAZMAT or Tanker may be required for some assignments.
• Minimum of two years of CDL driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction equipment safely between job sites as directed by supervisors.
• Partner with crews to mobilize equipment and support daily schedules and production goals.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while operating vehicles and equipment.
• Perform daily truck inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Assist with flagging operations when required.
• Maintain PPE and ensure it remains in proper working condition.
• Support crew operations and assist with other tasks as needed to ensure project completion.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with coworkers, customers, and the public.

• Transport construction equipment safely between job sites as directed by supervisors.
• Partner with crews to mobilize equipment and support daily schedules and production goals.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while operating vehicles and equipment.
• Perform daily truck inspections and promptly report maintenance issues or deficiencies.
• Assist with flagging operations when required.
• Maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it remains in proper working condition.
• Support crew operations and assist with other tasks as needed to ensure successful project completion.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with coworkers, customers, and the public.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperature extremes.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts of 8-12 hours, overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to adapt to changing job locations, schedules, and work assignments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe equipment transportation.
• Reliable, predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Required endorsements must be maintained. Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) and Tanker endorsements may be required for certain assignments.
• Minimum of two (2) years of CDL driving experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• Ability to perform duties in various weather and environmental conditions.
