Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks a loving nanny/mother's helper in Englewood Cliffs, NJ to care for a baby and a 3-year-old. The schedule runs Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm, with potential date nights or weekends. Must work closely with a SAHM in a collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates have infant/toddler experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to a long-term position with one family. CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain before starting.

Qualifications

• Excellent spoken English required to support immersion school environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to work (driving not required).
• Prior professional experience caring for infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving, and safety-focused care for both children throughout the day.
• Follow age-appropriate routines for naps, feeding, diapering, hygiene, and schedules.
• Plan and engage children in creative, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Encourage learning, independence, curiosity, and social development.
• Plan and accompany age-appropriate outings (parks, libraries, story time, classes, walks).
• Very basic snack and meal preparation.
• Wash, fold, and organize the children’s laundry.
• Keep bedrooms, play areas, nursery, and shared spaces tidy and organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of bottles, feeding supplies, toys, and children's items.
• Collaborate with stay-at-home mom, communicate openly, and manage the day independently when needed.
