Job summary

Energy Right seeks a motivated Louisiana Executive Director to lead statewide program growth in a hybrid, full-time role based in Louisiana with remote work options. The position focuses on partnerships, strategic initiatives, fundraising, and advocating for responsible energy development.

You will build relationships with community members, policymakers, industry stakeholders and donors, manage budgets, and guide outreach campaigns to advance local energy solutions while aligning with Energy

The Role: Louisiana Executive Director

Energy Right is looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial leader to serve as the Louisiana Executive Director. In this full-time, hybrid role, you’ll build and grow Energy Right’s presence across the state by creating meaningful partnerships, leading strategic initiatives, and securing resources to expand the program’s impact. You’ll work to ensure Energy Right’s mission thrives by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and advocating for responsible energy development.

This position is based in Louisiana, with opportunities for remote work and travel as needed.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as a self-starter and visionary leader, driving the growth and success of Energy Right’s Louisiana program.
  • Build strong relationships with community members, local leaders, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to advocate for responsible energy development.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that respect property rights, promote local priorities, and support economic growth.
  • Drive educational and outreach campaigns to empower communities with knowledge about energy opportunities.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and partnership development, to expand the program and grow the Louisiana team.
  • Oversee project management, budgeting, and operations with efficiency and accountability.
  • Represent Energy Right with professionalism and clarity in public forums, media appearances, and stakeholder meetings.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to initiate and grow programs.
  • Strong skills in community engagement, relationship-building, and public speaking.
  • A self-starter mindset, capable of working independently while achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of energy policies, regulations, and industry trends, particularly as they impact Louisiana.
  • A background in fundraising and resource development, including donor relations and grant management, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in project management and budgeting, ensuring accountability and results.
  • A background in political campaigns, energy advocacy, or related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Business Administration, Politics or a related discipline.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $115,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
