Qualifications

Job description

Town Nissan is looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lot Porter. The Lot Porter will be responsible for assisting with the overall appearance and organization of our vehicle lot, ensuring it is clean, safe, and presentable to customers. Along with driving for our customers for shuttle services. This role involves working closely with the sales team to contribute to the smooth operation of the dealership and provide excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain the dealership's parking lot and inventory of vehicles
  • Prepare and move vehicles for guests
  • Drive the service shuttle
  • Perform lot checks to ensure all vehicles are present and accounted for
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle movements and inventory
  • Wash and clean vehicles regularly
  • Excellent customer service to guests visiting the dealership

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.
  • Clean driving record to meet insurability standards
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Ability to work shift work and weekends as required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

As part of the essential duties, this position requires operating motor vehicles and working with hazardous, fatal materials. The employee’s essential duties are such that impairment caused by drug or alcohol could result in significant injury or death.

The Lot Porter will primarily work outdoors in varying weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, or rain. They will regularly be exposed to vehicle exhaust fumes, loud noises, and other moderate physical risks typically associated with an automotive dealership. This role may require frequent standing, lifting, bending, and walking. The individual must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
