Job description

Lot Porter – Fork Lift Driver

Position Summary

The Lot Porter – Fork Lift driver is responsible for moving inventory in our service department and park inventory in an orderly, efficient manner on the sales lot. You will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are maintained clean, presentable and correctly displayed, once work on unit is completed. You will move our trailers with a fork lift.

Job Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Move vehicles about the yard and into the shop for service and/or prep
  • Park vehicles in assigned areas; move sold vehicles to maximize space
  • Bring vehicles to the prep department, as scheduled
  • Perform other work-related activities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
  • Experience driving a forklift
  • Experience driving a semi is very helpful
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
