Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist I to manage vehicle placement and movement across our lot in Lakeland, FL. You will interpret digital instructions to allocate spaces and guide cars to the auction block and back, while maintaining operability and safety.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with typically less than two years of related experience. This is an on-site role with no remote option and possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Organize and park vehicles in designated zones based on dashboard instructions to maximize lot efficiency.
• Direct the flow of vehicles through sales lanes to the auction block and back to the lot after a sale; ensure vehicles are operable (jump-start dead batteries, check tires, fueling, push-truck coordination).
• Operate a variety of vehicles safely across the lot (automatic and manual).
• Model Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of all employees and customers.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to conduct and safety; follow all safety protocols.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Family Group Vehicle Operations Job Profile Lot Operations Specialist I Management Level Individual Contributor Flexible Work Option No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location Travel % No Work Shift Day Compensation Hourly base pay rate is $13.70 - $20.53/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description Details:

• Organizing and parking vehicles in designated zones based on digital dashboard instructions to maximize lot efficiency.
• Directing the physical flow of vehicles through the sales lanes to the auction block and back to the parking lot after a sale Ensuring cars are operational by jump-starting dead batteries, identifying flat tires, fueling up, or managing push-truck operators for inoperable vehicles Operating a wide variety of customer vehicles (both automatic and manual transmissions) safely across the lot.
• Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect
• Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct
• Be a visible representation of Manheim's safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures, and modeling the behaviors related to these directives
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.

• Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.
