Responsibilities

• Ensuring safety is a priority for oneself, as well as all employees.
• Supporting the Adams Land & Cattle Safety Program and exemplifying safety expectations.
• Maintaining the feedlot's infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment that supports the health, welfare, comfort, and proper containment of cattle.
• Performing upkeep, including preventive and corrective maintenance of feedlot fences, uprights, neck rails, and bunk cables, as well as facilities (e.g.processing barns, hospitals, feed mill).
• Maintaining and repairing water tanks and main lines.
• Welding to complete repairs.
• Upkeeping grounds (e.g.mowing/weed control).
• Safely operating equipment, such as skid steer, forklift, tractor, backhoe, mini excavator, etc.
• Housekeeping/organization or work area(s), equipment, truck(s), and materials used byteam.
• Supporting Machine Shop activities.
• Supporting project activities as needed.
