Job summary

Bob Brown Buick GMC is a locally owned regional Des Moines SUV and truck dealer offering sales and after-sales services. The Lot Attendant/Porter helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the sales area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, fueling vehicles for delivery and any additional tasks assigned.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Reliable transportation to and from work daily.
• Flexible with schedules, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory appearance by cleaning interiors and exteriors of vehicles and replenishing fluids.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keep the lot neat and orderly and move cars as directed by the general manager.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
• Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations
• Perform other duties as assigned
