Job summary

Wegmans in Pennsylvania is seeking a Front End Customer Service Team member to ensure customers end their shopping trips with a positive experience. You’ll engage customers in friendly conversation, assist with bagging items, and keep the parking lot safe and orderly for all shoppers.

You will greet customers, answer questions, and proactively offer services to enhance their Wegmans experience in a fast-paced retail setting. A friendly, helpful demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting.
• Work environment includes standing, walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to engage customers with eye contact, smiles and friendly conversation; responsive to shopper needs.

Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes standing, walking for long periods, bending, pushing and pulling, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at regular cash register station (see Cashier).The average weight range of items lifted, pushed, or pulled is 20-35 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly outdoors with seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping carts, Billy Goat, Mart Cart, snow blower, shovel, property maintenance equipment.
