Director, Talent Acquisition at The Guitar Center Company

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintain the safety, security, growth, and profitability of the Distribution Center by supporting daily Loss Prevention and Safety (LP&S) functions. Assist and direct associates to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet associates and visitors entering the building, ensuring adherence to security and visitor procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPAT guidelines and regulations.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct calls appropriately, and take messages.
  • Must be familiar with emergency procedures and respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • Assist with maintaining building alarms, badge access systems, and CCTV surveillance equipment.
  • Conduct or assist with safety related trainings, including safety orientations and power equipment training as necessary.
  • Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace accidents and injuries to determine root causes.
  • Complete various administrative tasks such as production reports, maintaining and ordering office supplies weekly, and other building administrative tasks as needed.
  • Update existing MS Excel reports, create MS Word documents and create MS PowerPoint presentations.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must have basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
  • Must be well organized and able to address changing priorities.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in giving and receiving constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and demonstrated support for departmental and company-wide initiatives.
  • Experience in industrial safety, security, inventory control, or a related field is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional exposure to warehouse environments, which may involve variable temperatures and moderate noise levels.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular activities may include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and light physical movement as required.
