Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to monitor stock movement, conduct surveillance, detect suspicious activity, and involve authorities when needed. The role emphasizes discreet presence, risk awareness, and safe handling of incidents to deter theft while maintaining a safe store environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of retail operations, loss prevention strategies, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 21+ years or older
• Complete a pre-employment background check

Responsabilités

• Walk around the store as you search for suspicious activity by customers and employees.
• Identify potential thieves from customers or employees.
• Approach and question individuals who seem to be acting suspiciously.
• Apprehend any person who commits theft in compliance with company procedures.
• Document theft and other violations of security, and what they observed on duty.
• Record all attempted and successful thefts.
• Recover stolen products and return these items to the sales floor.
• Work with law enforcement to detain suspects of shoplifting or dishonest employees.
• Provide eyewitness accounts at police stations, in court, and at other pertinent meetings.
• Brainstorm ways to prevent theft and vandalism in and around our store.
