Job summary

Continental Services in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Loss Prevention Coordinator to identify theft and review video footage across store locations. The role requires high attention to detail and the ability to review footage for 6–8 hours daily.

The position involves handling client requests, preparing management reports, and attending off-site meetings to present findings. Travel up to 10% may be required within southeastern Michigan and northern Ohio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s in criminal justice or retail management preferred.
• Experience with video review for loss prevention is preferred.
• Self-directed with a proven track record and integrity.
• Strong communication and teamwork; attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 / hour

The Experience You’ll Create:

The Loss Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for identifying theft while reviewing video footage of various store locations. Ability to have strict attention to detail while reviewing footage for 6-8 hours per day is required.

• Handle all client generated requests
• Review videos to observe customer and associate behavior.
• Identify and document incidents of theft or suspected theft.
• Prepare detailed reports for review with management and clients regarding incidents.
• Attend off-site client meetings to present findings and interview customers/associates suspected of theft.
• Work with various stakeholders and authorities to achieve resolution.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Ingredients for Thriving:

• High school diploma required. Continuing education with bachelors in criminal justice or retail management strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with video review for loss prevention experience preferred.
• Self-directed with a proven track record of delivering results with minimal guidance/direction.
• Results oriented and flexible; Takes action as soon as a need arises and steadily follows through on tasks while communicating progress.
• High level of integrity and dependability. Trustworthy and discreet, with high ethical standards and professional image.
• Proven problem-solving ability. Detail-oriented with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Team player that doesn't mind working in close quarters with other team members.
• Strong proficiency with electronic communication and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel will be throughout southeastern Michigan down to Northern Ohio.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work Monday – Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
