Job summary

Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati seeks a Loss Prevention team member to help reduce inventory loss and protect assets across our stores. You will work on the floor, set a positive example for staff and customers, and partner with management to maintain a safe, fast-paced shopping environment.

Preferred candidates have retail loss prevention experience, good communication, and basic computer skills. The role requires standing 6–8 hours, night/weekend shifts, and the ability to travel between the two

Qualifications

• Experience in retail loss prevention or asset protection preferred.
• Able to stand/walk 6–8 hours at a time.
• Schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass background check.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reducing loss of inventory, time, and assets.
• Maintain integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all responsibilities.
• Address shoplifters professionally.
• Work on the floor with staff to model good behavior and support customers.
• Supervise day-to-day operations.

Job Duties

• Assist with reducing the loss of inventory, time, and assets.
• Maintain a high degree of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in carrying out all responsibilities.
• Address shoplifters professionally.
• Work the floor alongside staff to set an example, promote a positive environment, and stay in touch with employees and customers.
• Supervise day-to-day operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some experience with retail loss prevention or asset protection.
• Engage in standing/walking 6-8 hours at a time.
• Schedule may entail nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to travel between both stores.
• Must pass a required criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

• Two or three professional references preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer, math, and data entry skills.
• Basic filing and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient with Google Drive and Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of perishables, product rotation, and safe food handling practices.
