Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services invites applications for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter Team Lead in Topeka, Kansas. You will oversee junior staff, handle escalated files, train new hires, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations while guiding the team on complex files.

You will act as a Subject Matter Expert, monitor workflows, distribute reports, and provide results to management. The role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and continuous process improvement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of underwriting experience in loss mitigation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Assist with pipeline assignments.
• Analyze, distribute and/or prepare reports, track account workflows and provide results to management.
• Monitor performance and provide additional training to junior level staff as needed.

The Loss Mitigation Underwriter Team Lead is responsible for handling escalated matters, training and provide assistance and oversight to junior level staff in the absence of their respective Supervisor/Manager. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 an hour.
