Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation Underwriter Team Lead to oversee escalated cases, mentor junior staff and provide guidance in the absence of supervision. You will coordinate training, monitor performance, and act as SME on challenging files to protect borrower outcomes.

The role reports to management, requires strong underwriting experience in loss mitigation and a high school diploma, and offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Five (5) plus years of underwriting experience in loss mitigation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to escalated issues from internal and external sources.
• Assist with pipeline assignments.
• Analyze, distribute and/or prepare reports, track account workflows and provide results to management.
• Monitor performance and provide additional training to junior level staff as needed.
• Assist with training new hires.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities as needed for relief assignments in the absence of Supervisor.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for department with the knowledge and ability to make decisions and/or provide direction on challenging files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Loss Mitigation Underwriter Team Lead is responsible for handling escalated matters, training and provide assistance and oversight to junior level staff in the absence of their respective Supervisor/Manager. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 an hour.
