Loss Control Representative - Insurance Inspections - Great Bend/Garden City/Dodge City, KS

This full-time position involves effective planning and organizational skills to schedule and complete commercial business site visits and reports. You will observe various properties and business operations through the lens of the insurance carrier. We provide fully paid training, mentoring, continuous development, and company-furnished equipment including hardware, software, phone, and a fleet vehicle. Our goal is to equip our team with the necessary knowledge and tools to deliver excellent products and ensure their success.

Responsibilities

As a Verisk Field Representative, you will:

• Schedule and conduct on-site visits, complete reports to evaluate risk, and identify business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety measures, providing safety and loss control recommendations.
• Represent Verisk and our clients professionally via phone, in person, and in written communication.
• Maintain data quality by paying attention to detail and producing accurate, customer-focused reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Insurance, Construction Management, or related fields. Preferred experience in insurance loss control, underwriting, claims, or property inspections.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, high-quality reports.
• Proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile devices, MS Office, and mobile applications. Ability to perform functional math calculations related to property measurements.
• Strong planning skills, self-motivation, and efficient work habits with minimal supervision.
• Ability to gather detailed data, map, and travel to sites in various environments and weather conditions, including walking, standing, climbing stairs, and occasional ladder use.
• Professional designations such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, or CPCU are advantageous.

Additional requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
• Ability to learn and apply training through various methods, including virtual and in-person formats.
• Remote work setup with reliable high-speed internet.
• Primary residence near the designated territory or city.
