Job Description
As a Verisk Field Representative, you will evaluate commercial business sites for multiple lines of insurance coverage, loss prevention and risk assessment. You will assist insurers in their policy underwriting and pricing decisions through onsite observations and reporting. This is a full-time position where you will use effective planning and organizational skills to schedule and complete commercial business site visits and reports. You’ll get to witness an endless variety of properties and business operations through the lens of the insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct on-site visits and complete reports to evaluate risk, identify business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, safety measures, and develop safety and loss control recommendations.
  • Represent Verisk and our customers professionally via phone, in person, and in written correspondence.
  • Complete accurate, customer-centric reports with attention to detail, supporting data quality commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Risk Management, Insurance, Construction Management, or related fields. Experience in loss control, underwriting, claims, or property inspections is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile devices, MS Office, and mobile apps. Ability to perform measurements and calculations related to property assessments.
  • Self-motivated with effective planning, scheduling, and work habits. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to gather and record detailed data, navigate various environments and weather conditions, and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, and driving.
  • Professional designations like CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, or CPCU are a plus.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed, within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to learn and apply training via virtual or in-person methods.
  • Remote work environment with reliable high-speed internet.
  • Residence near the designated geographic area.
