Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice Group. The role focuses on wage-hour, PAGA, and class action matters for a diverse client base.

You will be part of a hybrid team, handle litigation from inception to resolution, advise on California and federal employment laws, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing employment law practice.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
• 4-7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience
• Significant experience handling wage and hour, PAGA, and class action matters, including matters in state and federal courts
• Strong background advising employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience is required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments
• Comfortable with and open to using AI-driven and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply them effectively to boost efficiency, improve client service, and enhance legal work output

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in wage and hour, PAGA, and class action, matters
• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution
• Advise clients on compliance with evolving California and federal employment laws
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings
• Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and preparation of discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and settlement documentation
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced associate to work on sophisticated employment matters for a diverse client base, including complex wage and hour, PAGA, and class action litigation. The role offers meaningful responsibility, client interaction, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, high-performing employment law team.

• Competitive Salary Range: $270,000 – $315,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
