Job description

Overview:

Angels Baseball is looking for an outgoing, professional and friendly individual to work at the Receptionist desk in the front offices at Angels Stadium during business hours (9am-5pm), seasonally. As the first contact guests may have with our organization, the Receptionist is critical to the appearance, image and efficiency of the office. As such, the Receptionist must be friendly and attentive, but in control to ensure company policies are enforced and respected, especially in terms of access to the office and screening telephone calls.

The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and 401k employee contributions after 3 months and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season).

Duties:

  • Answer telephone calls for the general office phone number; transfers or resolves accordingly
  • Receives and directs guests and business associates
  • Assist with administrative duties and special projects as assigned
  • Ensure all visitors into the front office are checked-in and credentialed accordingly

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Service or office experience required (customer service with experience in computer usage helpful), experience in or ability to learn phone usage and protocol
  • Applicants must demonstrate a professional, polished disposition, possess excellent inter-personal skills, be able to handle multiple tasks at one time, work well with others and demonstrate exceptional guest service skills over the phone and in-person
  • Applicants for this position must be able to work during the day, hours will vary
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit at a desk continuously for prolonged periods
  • Ability to frequently grasp with hand(s) and manipulate the telephone and computer elements
