Job summary

Grand Rapids Public Schools Westwood Middle School (6-8) in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an LOOP Academic Support Teacher to provide quality instruction and differentiated support for students during the LOOP summer school program. Hours are 3.5 per week, with sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Monday–Thursday operations, August to May, with wage between $20.00 and $26.00 per hour.

Eligible candidates will have college coursework in education, LARA requirements, and First Aid/CPR

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and meet diverse student needs.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Ability to collaborate with LOOP staff and lead teachers.
• Commitment to regular attendance and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instructional sessions using the LOOP curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction for groups and individuals.
• Attend planning meetings and submit time sheets accurately.
• Collaborate with LOOP staff on activities and log attendance.
