Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking a passionate Manager for the Lookout Lounge & Bar to join the team of our brand-new luxury resort. Omni Frisco PGA Resort provides North Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment. The Seaglass Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the Seaglass Lobby Lounge and ensuring the highest level of Food and Beverage service. This role will facilitate training and supervision of all Seaglass Staff and deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures. Must have previous leadership experience in a similar environment.

The Lookout Lounge & Bar is a resort gathering spot featuring elevated, inspired small plates, tapas, and bar bites. Beverage highlights include sophisticated wine service and modern twists on classic cocktails with Texas swagger. All of this can be enjoyed indoors or on the patio and all with a view of the rolling Frisco Hill Country and adjoining golf courses.

Responsibilities

  1. To consistently ensure maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant.
  2. Conduct pre-shift meetings with service staff on a daily basis.
  3. Supervise the floor during operation.
  4. Ensure service personnel follow service protocol including steps of service.
  5. Monitor timing of guest experience.
  6. Handle all complaints to the guests' satisfaction.
  7. Maintain a consistently smooth running operation.
  8. Make weekly schedules for the staff.
  9. Ensure Kitchen, stewarding and cashier staff are on duty as scheduled.
  10. Ensure side-stations are fully stocked with equipment.
  11. Complete and check all side-work by the manager.
  12. Ensure beverage machines are functioning properly.
  13. Ensure station rotation in seating.
  14. Assist in seating or service of guests as necessary.
  15. Coordinate all functions in dining room during service.
  16. Monitor productivity of service staff.
  17. Monitor and critique the quality and consistency of the food product.
  18. Ensure special boards and/or descriptions are posted accurately.
  19. Continuously check food quality and presentation coming from kitchen.
  20. Maintain food displays during service.
  21. Monitor guest satisfaction and comments regarding food and service.
  22. Familiarize with clients for constant recognition of all repeat guests.
  23. Review reservations on a daily basis and check against the VIP list from the front desk.
  24. Handle all special attention details properly.
  25. Maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant.
  26. Ensure staff’s uniforms and appearances meet specifications.
  27. Inspect tabletops, side-stations and tray stands during service.
  28. Inspect all menus daily by hostess.
  29. Ensure all equipment is in good condition and clean.
  30. Maintain neat, orderly and clean work areas.
  31. Adjust lights and music appropriately for each meal period.
  32. Contribute to the profitability of the restaurant through cost control effectiveness.
  33. Perform positive up-selling techniques with service staff.
  34. Expedite table turnover and table resetting.
  35. Implement sales promotions and merchandising programs.
  36. Be familiar with all beverage-related procedures and equipment and assist the cashier when needed.
  37. Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  38. Know emergency procedures (including CPR) and work to prevent accidents.
  39. Familiarize with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
  40. Perform any and all other duties assigned and/or required by management.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  2. Previous Bar Experience required
  3. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  4. Understanding of financial statements and labor productivity
