Magnum Intermodal in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking motivated Owner Operators and Company Drivers to join our growing team. This role focuses on intermodal container hauling, with duties ranging from safe transport to meticulous log keeping and compliance with DOT regulations.

The position emphasizes strong communication with dispatch, reliable self-motivation, and adherence to all safety standards while serving ports, rail yards, and customer sites in the tri-state area.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in intermodal, port, or container drayage trucking.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record and satisfactory MVR.
• Must meet DOT medical certification requirements.
• Owner Operators must have their own properly insured and registered equipment.
• Ability to navigate the Elizabeth, NJ port area and surrounding tri-state region.
• Strong communication skills and a reliable, self-motivated work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Transport intermodal containers safely and efficiently to and from ports, rail yards, and customer locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and electronic records for all loads and deliveries
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and route updates
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety standards
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and equipment is well-maintained at all times
