Job summary

Sabre Industries in Sioux City, IA seeks a Longseam Welder to perform 100% penetration welds on shaft seams per drawings and codes. You will read flatsheets, set up welding parameters, and use FCAW, GMAW, or SAW processes. The role requires lifting, standing, and working in an outdoor manufacturing environment.

You will inspect welds for quality, maintain logs, and assist teammates to meet production goals while following safety procedures. Training provided, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must have basic shop math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret complex prints and specs.
• Proficient in using a weld gauge for measurements.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions clearly.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs 100% penetration welds on shaft seams per drawings and codes.
• Reads flatsheets and orders to determine welding requirements.
• Welds using FCAW, GMAW, and/or SAW processes per procedure.
• Adjusts machine settings to meet weld parameters and preheat needs.
• Wears PPE and maintains a safe welding environment.
• Inspects welds for quality and assists others to improve productivity.
• Maintains daily production logs and uses cranes to position work.
