Overview

The Longo Lexus VIP Delivery Driver, also known as a Flat Bed / Tow Truck Driver, is responsible for delivering and picking up dealership and guest vehicles. Our ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, a team player, has excellent communication skills, guest service experience, and approaches tasks positively.

Experience driving a flatbed tow truck is not required but is a plus!

The Flat Bed Driver's pay scale includes a base hourly wage of $19.00, with additional elements and ranges.

*This position is 100% onsite at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver vehicles for Sales and Service departments.
• Load and unload vehicles on flatbed/tow trucks.
• Arrive on time for scheduled appointments and communicate with guests about any changes.
• Maintain communication with the dispatcher regarding schedules and appointments.
• Inspect and maintain truck supplies and equipment (gas, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes).
• Perform emergency repairs (changing tires, installing bulbs, fuses, chains, spark plugs).
• Obey traffic laws and follow safety procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies.
• Assist the service department as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Maintain high ethical standards and professional appearance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of tow truck driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Attention to detail, ability to read and interpret instructions, and good communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements include long periods of driving, bending, reaching, working outdoors in various weather conditions, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and operating heavy equipment. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
