Penske Motor Group LLC in El Monte, CA is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Consultant to guide guests through vehicle introductions, highlight features, and tailor recommendations to individual needs.

You will earn a base hourly rate of $16.90 with commission potential and production bonuses, plus benefits, vacation, 401(k) matching, and opportunities for growth. We provide training, a supportive team environment, and on-site facilities like parking and an on-site gym.

Qualifications

• Superior communication and customer service skills, especially via email and telephone.
• A minimum of two years sales experience in the automobile industry or equivalent, preferred.
• Excellent follow-through skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to work in a team-driven atmosphere.
• Must have (or be willing to acquire) a valid California Occupational Sales and Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

The Retail Sales Consultant Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.

Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $16.90. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit .

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:

• Superior communication and customer service skills, especially effective via email and telephone
• A minimum of one (2) year sales experience in the automobile industry or equivalent, preferred.
• Excellent follow-through skills
• Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a team driven atmosphere.
• Must have (or be willing to acquire) a valid California Occupational Sales and Driver’s License with an acceptable and safe driving record.
