Description

The Sr. Restaurant Manager oversees service standards, including safety, sanitation, quality, and expediency of food and guest relations. Supervises the FOH Manager and provides support for supervision, training, and performance of FOH employees. Manages day-to-day functions while maintaining and delivering outstanding hospitality and service. The Sr. Restaurant Manager is required to regularly work nights, weekends, and holidays. The average shift is 10-12 hours.

Responsibilities
  1. Leads all aspects of restaurant operations in tandem with, or in the absence of, the General Manager
  2. Assists with performing supervisory duties, such as hiring, training, developing, evaluating, and disciplinary counseling of all FOH employees, under the direction of the General Manager
  3. Conducts pre-service meetings with FOH Manager
  4. Ensures restaurant and company policies and procedures are followed and maintained
  5. Partners with the FOH Manager to provide new hire and ongoing staff training
  6. Maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings, initiating improvements, and building relationships with members and customers
  7. Implements procedures to ensure excellent service and a quality dining experience
  8. Engages professionally with guests for positive and negative feedback
  9. Oversees FOH weekly ordering, receiving, re-stocking, and coding of invoices as directed
  10. Supervises cleanliness and organization of bars, wine cabinets, sales floor, and inventories
  11. Reviews FOH payroll with the FOH Manager and completes payroll-related forms
  12. Understands and complies with applicable laws and standards related to food and beverage service
Requirements
  1. Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field
  2. 3-5 years’ experience as Assistant General Manager or FOH Manager
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, OpenTable, and Google
  4. Maintains SERV Safe and TIPS certifications
  5. Strong communication skills and ability to lead and develop staff
  6. Understanding of food, beverage, and hospitality excellence
  7. Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  8. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
  9. Leadership qualities and effective team management
  10. Physical ability to walk, stand, lift moderate weights, and perform related tasks
