Job Description

Title: Long Term Substitute Teacher Assistant

General Position Description: Assist in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the classroom students’ curriculum goals and instructional programs while representing KHA in a positive and professional manner.

Essential Functions

Instructional Opportunities

Additional Duties Job Descriptions

• Provide coverage for staff within the program at various sites during periods of short staffing, inclement weather, emergency conditions, etc.
• Provide coverage/support across the school as needed including the classroom, recess, lunch and the cafeteria.

Education, Experience and Special Skills

Associated Degree or successful completion of a Teacher Assistant Training Program approved by the RI Department of Education.

Exceptions: (1) certification as a Teacher Assistant in another state, (2) hold an associate's degree or bachelor's degree and have completed coursework or other training consistent with our State standards.
