Palmyra School District is seeking a certified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to staff a 3rd grade classroom at Charles Street Elementary School. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and support the academic and social-emotional growth of young learners.

The candidate must hold a valid New Jersey Elementary Education certificate (CE/CEAS/Standard), pass background checks, and collaborate with staff to monitor progress and maintain a positive classroom

• Valid New Jersey Elementary Education certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard).
• Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance.
• Mantoux (TB) test in accordance with NJDOE regulations.

• Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
• Identify student needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs
• Cooperate with other professional staff members to assess and resolve learning difficulties
• Create and maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
• Partner with paraprofessionals and specialists to support student needs
• Monitor student progress and complete required assessments
• Maintain records of student educational progress and summarize records for reporting purposes
• Maintain open communication with families and participate in school events

Description

Palmyra School District is seeking a certified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a Third Grade classroom at Charles Street Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of elementary education and a commitment to nurturing the social, emotional, and academic growth of young learners.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Elementary Education or Preschool through Grade 3 certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard)
• Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance
• Mantoux (TB) test in accordance with NJDOE regulations
