Qualifications

• Must submit a recent (within twelve months) certificate signed by a licensed physician stating the absence of communicable tuberculosis.
• Pass a criminal background check by the State Police Department and Virginia DSS/Child Protective Services.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the building administrator or school secretary upon arrival.
• Review lesson plans and schedules prior to student arrival.
• Maintain established routines and classroom procedures; grade other written work not in the left plans.
• Teach the lesson outlined by the absent teacher.
• Consult with administration or grade-level teachers for schedule clarity.
• Maintain a positive classroom climate and show enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
