Job summary

Qualifications

• Must complete Child Abuse and Neglect: Recognizing, Reporting and Responding for Educators before substitute work.
• Provide supportive instruction when regular teacher is absent and maintain classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Reports to building administrator or school secretary on arrival.
• Reviews lesson plans and follows designated schedule.
• Maintains classroom routines and assists with grading.
• Teaches the lesson outlined by the absent teacher.
• Collaborates with staff to understand schedule and assignments.
• Maintains positive classroom climate and supports student learning.
• Complies with school policies and procedures.
