Job summary

Southwest Local Schools Harrison Elementary School in Harrison, Ohio is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for 4th Grade Math and Science to cover a 60+ day contract. The position reports to the Harrison Elementary School Building Principal and offers daily pay of $125 through HCESC's Aesop Substitute Teaching System.

The role requires implementing and adapting lesson plans, maintaining class routines, and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Passing Background and Fingerprint examination.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans, assess student learning, and adjust instruction as needed to support student success.
• Maintain continuity of instruction, classroom routines, and expectations throughout the long-term assignment.
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers, specialists, administrators, and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student support.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families and school staff as appropriate.
• Working knowledge of Ohio Extended Standards is a plus.

Salary Schedule:

• $125 per day
• Teacher contract for 60+ days

Teacher hired will be paid through HCESC's Aesop Substitute Teaching System.
