The Long-Term Substitute Teacher supports the educational mission of Holy Cross Academy by assuming instructional responsibilities in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role is responsible for delivering lesson plans, maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment, and ensuring continuity in student learning and classroom routines. The Long-Term Substitute Teacher fosters a safe, respectful, and faith-centered classroom while supporting the academic and personal growth of all students.
This position is a temporary assignment from early September through early December, covering a maternity leave, and is scheduled for three days per week.
The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to the mission of Holy Cross Academy. This individual should be dependable, adaptable, and able to quickly build rapport with students and staff. A willingness to support the academic, social, and spiritual development of students is essential.
