Job summary

King Learning Center is seeking a dedicated Long Term Substitute to support our Special Education program. The role focuses on fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs and involves collaboration with teachers and support staff.

Starting ASAP until approximately October 12, 2026, with compensation per the DREA contract. Responsibilities include direct instruction, progress monitoring, and participation in professional development to enhance SPED

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (preferred).
• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching license in state.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
