Foley Public School District is seeking a full-time, long-term substitute educational assistant for Foley Elementary School to support a special education program. The person will work under a special education teacher or the principal and assist students with disabilities during a 7-hour school day.

Qualifications include an AA degree or 60 college credits (or a passing ParaPro/ParaEducator assessment) and PCA certification; prior experience with children and with disabilities is preferred.

Formación

• AA degree or at least 60 semester credits, or passing score on ParaPro/ParaEducator assessment.
• Passing PCA certification online assessment.
• Experience or interest in working with children in a classroom/educational setting.
• Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Work directly under supervision of a special education teacher and/or school principal.
• Supervise and assist students with physical, intellectual, and/or behavioral disabilities.
• Manage a 7-hour day (6.5 paid hours per day or 32.5 paid hours per 5-day school week).
