Job Description

Enfield High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Long-Term Substitute Reading Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality reading instruction to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic growth of all students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging reading lessons aligned with Connecticut State Standards.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading instruction.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
