Qualifications

• Valid West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate is required.
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of county policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist long-term substitutes with school orientation, policies, procedures, and daily operations.
• Provide ongoing professional guidance, feedback, and coaching outside regular hours.
• Model professional conduct and effective communication with staff and students.
• Support lesson planning, differentiation, and student engagement strategies.
• Maintain mentoring logs, document meetings, and ensure compliance with county procedures.
