Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is seeking Sub-Teachers for the 2026-27 school year. You will plan, teach, and evaluate instruction, working with students in classroom settings to follow lesson plans and create a cohesive learning experience.

You will supervise students across classrooms, hallways, and cafeterias, adapting methods to fit individual needs and maintaining a positive learning environment. The assignment offers 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Ability to create efficient working relationships with staff.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking Sub-Teachers for the 2026-27 school year.

CLIENT'S HOURLY RATE & AVAILABLE HOURS

• Starting at $43-$45 per hour depending on Contractor's qualifications, availability, and skills.
• Monday-Friday (8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) (Long term, short term and subs)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Plan, teach, and evaluate instruction for students .
• Work with students in classroom settings.
• Meet and instruct students in the locations and at the times designated.
• Use positive verbal and non-verbal skills that enhance learning.
• Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in all public settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by program/building administrator(s) in accordance with school policies and practices.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Ability to comply with written and or oral instructions
• Ability to create an efficient working relationship with other personnel
• Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills
• Willingness to stand for most hours of the day, or sit for extensive periods of time
• Full capability to give instructions in the absence of the "main" teacher
