Job summary

The ideal candidate holds CT Certification in Music 049, a Master's Degree, and at least three years of teaching experience, with capacity for differentiated instruction and virtual learning support across a diverse middle school cohort.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Certification in Music 049.
• Minimum 3 years of successful teaching experience.
• Master's Degree required.
• Ability to work with a diverse middle school student population.

Responsibilities

• Instruct music courses that may include Ensemble, strings, guitar, etc.
• Collaborate with Performing Arts Staff to showcase student work.
• Model instruction and implement differentiated instructional strategies.
• Demonstrate expertise in virtual learning and support students with virtual tools.
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of assessment and diagnostic strategies in the arts.
• Prepare effective lesson plans, units of study, curriculum maps and articulate clear expectations.
