Essex Westford School District's Essex Elementary School in Essex Junction, Vermont, seeks a Long-Term Substitute Learning Specialist/Special Educator to support literacy, math and behavior interventions while evaluating and developing programs.

The position involves case management of EST, 504, and IEP plans; duration from 11/16/2026 to 12/18/2026 with possible extension, at a daily rate of $310. Collaboration with a teaching team is essential and background checks will be completed.

Formación

• Valid VT Educator license with a Special Educator endorsement.
• Endorsement outside VT considered equally.
• Strong math, literacy, and/or behavior background.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
• Co-teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of standards-based curricula, differentiated instruction and formative assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and develop intervention programs focusing on literacy, math and behavior.
• Case management of student plans including EST, 504 and IEP.
• Collaborate with the teaching team and participate in screenings as required.
