Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Teaching license in Moderate Disabilities with SEI Endorsement.
• Bachelor's Degree in the area of major study; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets student needs.
• Create a safe, conducive learning environment.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives.
• Employ Universal Design for Learning and appropriate materials.
• Work with students identified with special needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Provide diagnostic testing of students referred.
• Submit required forms and time logs.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Communicate with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Maintain classroom rules and order.
• Plan and supervise aides and volunteers.
• Attend staff meetings and committees.
